EB/EchoPlex - 1
This Echoplex kit was my first experience building a guitar pedal. I was inspired by delay effects that Jimmy Page used on Led Zeppelin's recordings. I wanted to understand how the original Echoplex worked and build one of my own.
The Concept

I bought this kit from StewMac and assembled the pedal, but initially ran into problems with solder joints and inconsistencies between the wiring diagrams and circuit layout. After troubleshooting, resoldering, and rehousing some of the components, I got the pedal working. This allowed me to learn how to troubleshoot circuit boards and discover how analog delay circuits work.
